Teaser Tuesdays: More Harry Potter

October 21, 2008 by SMBush

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!
  • I’m still reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling and I’ve barely made a dent in it.  To make matters of time worse, my partner is gone to a conference for the week and I’m single parenting.

    Here is the teaser:

The sword of Gryffindor was hidden they knew not where, and they were three teenagers in a tent whose only achievement was not, yet, to be dead.  ‘So why are you still here?’ Harry asked Ron.

Book Dads is looking for book recommendations and having a contest to give away a $25 Amazon Gift Card.

    1. I did not like this book much. However, I do like the HR series.

Ron is my favourite character in this series. I really felt for Ron shortly after your teaser…

Interesting teaser – I haven’t read the book, but my niece has it and couldn’t put it down!

    4. I’m the last person in the world, I think, who has never read Harry Potter. I’d like to, it’s just a time issue.

      Thanks for the teaser.
