Focus on Books: Children’s Writing Web Journal
December 2, 2008 by SMBush
This is the first installment of what we hope will be a weekly feature post. The idea is to focus on a site or blog that promotes reading and literature and feature them at Book Dads. It may be a book blog, writing site, author website, publisher or charity for literature.
For our first Focus on Books we’d like to focus on Children’s Writing Web Journal a blog about writing children’s books. This blog is published and maintained by the editor’s of Children’s Book Insider, the Newsletter For Children’s Book Writers. Children’s Writing Web Journal provides many helpful resources for people wishing to become published children’s book writers.
They have been posting a regular video series titled Children’s Literature Blog Posts of the Day that have focused on the posts of several blogs in the area of children’s literature. We love watching these and they have led us to some great kidslit blogs. We have been featuring these videos in our sidebar and you can also view the latest video here.
They recently posted about a $5,000 grant available for a children’s / young adult author that is meant to support a good writer struggling with attracting more readers. These are the kind of resources you will find on this blog.
Please take a look in our sidebar for new editions of Children’s Literature Blog Posts of the Day as they are published. You can also follow Jon Bard from the Children’s Writing Web Journal on Twitter.
